As early as I can remember, I've enjoyed baking. Growing up watching my mother in the kitchen making dinner and desserts; and the great smells emanating from the oven were enough to get me hooked. I enjoyed it so much that it was to become my profession. While in high school I worked in a kitchen at a summer camp gathering more experience. During my high school years I would often make cheesecakes for anyone who would request them; this also made me quite popular but then I detoured from the culinary path into the law enforcement profession. However, I continued to make pastries and cakes throughout my law enforcement career.
Que Sera Sera, you know the old saying "what ever will be, will be." Eighteen years later, I decided to attend The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and earned a degree in Pastry and Baking Arts. Years as a State Trooper have prepared me for the art of baking. Police work requires structure and discipline and so does baking. If you don't believe me try making a cake without following directions. After graduating with honors and completing an externship with Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, New York I set out on my own. I have had many opportunities to work with some impressive chefs, which have furthered my experience and repertoire.
I love making a piece of art that will be gazed upon and then consumed. With that said Pastries Anyone? became a reality. In addition to providing some classic desserts we also provide sugar-free, gluten-free and wheat-free pastries. And by the way, the goal is not only to make food that looks good but taste good by using the freshest ingredients and making the pastries as close to the time of your events as possible. We look forward to making your occasions personal and very special no matter how large or small.
P.S. Thanks for stopping by. Take time to peruse our menu items and photos.
